Agibank is one of the winners of 2022 Banking Transformation Award

Campinas (SP) – December 9 2022 – The 18th Banking Transformation edition, one of the most respectful and important awards of Brazil’s financial sector, announces Agibank as the grand winner in the category of “Self-service” with the case “Payroll Benefit Card hiring Automation”. The award ceremony happened on Tuesday’s night, December 6, in person, in the Iate Clube de Santos, in São Paulo.

One of the main goals of Agi is perform in the client’s digitalization, the greatest part of them belonging to C and D classes and 50+, and still needing help to make the transition to the digital world. As many of them have mobility problems and cannot appear in our over 880 hubs spread all over Brazil, the institution needed to create ways for the clients being able to self-service by the app or by other means. With the release of the Payroll Benefit Card, emerged the opportunity of introducing selling robots via WhatsApp.

Considering the existence of a large eligible client volume to hire the product, it was necessary to create a solution that could assist them. The challenge was finding a way to provide the service to the clients in the time they needed, in an automatized way, sustainably (paperless) and, above all, safely. All this considering that the client was not digitalized.

WhatsApp is an app that Agi’s client is used to utilize, and it is the favorite communication channel of Brazilian people. For this reason, the institution chooses a tool to offer a digital experience in an environment that their client already knows and were acquainted. “We send a communication with the Benefits Card hiring offer, informing the contract conditions and when the clients reply accepting the conditions, we send a new message with a link for the digital formalization. With this link, the client received a contract to read and needed to do the digital biometry for face identification. With the API of Liveness biometry, a technology capable of detecting if the identification has been done with a real and living person, we collect and analyze the biometric data of our clients to avoid frauds”, explains Matheus Girardi, Chief Client Officer of Agi.

Girardi also explains that the institution does not use third parties for the development of this solution. “Our teams of channels, technology and fraud joined forces to create this safe environment and define the compliance parameters. We also had the product and credit teams’ involvement to develop the parameters of the offers and possible trades to the digital hiring, and the CRM and Marketing teams for the creation of media, sending and data analysis.

The Payroll Benefit Card offer via WhatsApp results in 900% extra open rate compared to the traditional methods such as SMS message. Agibank had ten times more contract conversions and the initiative raised the Bank’s share in digital self-enrollment in 12%. Furthermore, as the consultants don’t need to be involved during this process, it was possible to optimize their time giving attention to other customers who would go to the hubs in search of other products, or even the Benefit Card itself.

“Even with the release just in September of this year, we succeeded distributing the product via our network as well as through bots, which means a huge differential over the market”, comments the company’s CCO.
