Agibank reaches 1 million clients
Strong growth results from a strategy of both physical and digital presence
Agibank, a fintech that offers products and services to promote the financial inclusion of millions of brazilians, reached this week the impressive mark of 1 million active clients. The number is a result of more than 3 million new customer orders received in the period from January to October 2018.
“We have received an average of more than 220 thousand requests to open accounts during the last few months,” explains the Founder & CEO of Agibank, Marciano Testa. The expansion of the customer base also reflects the growth in physical presence throughout the country. With 580 outlets, Agibank is present in every city in Brazil with a population over 200.000.
Another aspect that guarantees the sustainability of the bank’s strategy is the exponential growth in the number of business where Agibank clients can use the bank’s technology, after the partnership with Cielo, the country’s largest buyer, which has its POS terminals in more than 1.1 million business throughout the national territory. In Cielo’s network, customers using Agibank Pay don’t need to carry the plastic card, and can make purchases using credit or debit via QR Code with their smartphone.
